In health care, keeping skills current protects the public. For nurses, being able to initiate CPR and provide first aid is part of the duty of care; for support staff and caregivers, it is a valued credential for working. Here is what is expected for your role — and how recognized, up-to-date, documented training meets it.
卫生专业人员：继续教育与技能更新
In Venezuela, health practice is governed by the Ministry of People's Power for Health, together with the nursing colleges and federation. Continuing education and recertification are voluntary, driven by national scientific societies rather than by a statutory mandate.
Within that framework, keeping current the ability to initiate resuscitation manoeuvres and respond in an emergency is part of the duty of care; CPR and basic life support training can count as continuing education when it meets the scientific societies' criteria.
There is no mandatory statutory continuing-education cycle nor a nationwide hours standard for these professions in Venezuela: recertification is voluntary and its programs are designed by national scientific societies, within which CPR and basic life support can count.

For the elder-caregiver role, no Venezuela-specific national requirement is documented. In regional practice, a recognized caregiver or geriatric-assistant certificate that includes first aid and CPR is valued and accepted; where the role calls for it, a recognized standalone certificate meets it and must be kept current.
