Childcare CPR & first aid requirements

First Aid & CPR Venezuela

If you work in childcare in Venezuela — whether at a daycare, preschool, home-based care, or camp — first aid and CPR certification is not optional. It's a licensing requirement, and for good reason: children are among the most vulnerable to choking, allergic reactions, and injuries. Being prepared to respond can mean everything.

Requirements at a glance

Regulatory frameworkNo per-staff first-aid training mandate was found for initial education (maternal level/Simoncito). The Simoncito framework references risk prevention and protection of the child's integrity, but no published regulation imposes individual first-aid certification on staff.

What Venezuela requires

In Venezuela, no strict legal duty to train every staff member in first aid has been found for initial education (the maternal level or Simoncito). The Simoncito framework refers to risk prevention and protecting the child's integrity, but no published regulation imposes individual first-aid certification. Even without a binding mandate, trained staff remain the expected standard for caring for the youngest children.

Anaphylaxis and medication administration

Venezuela has no specific anaphylaxis or adrenaline framework for early education, and adrenaline is available only as a prescription ampoule, with no auto-injectors marketed in the country. With no rule to govern it, a child's protection depends on how prepared the staff are. Best practice is to quickly recognise a severe allergic reaction, hold the family's written authorization for any of the child's medication and store it safely and clearly labelled.

How our courses meet these requirements

A recognized, standards-based certification in pediatric first aid and CPR meets Venezuela’s requirement and keeps your team ready to act.

Don't wait for renewal day

In an emergency, a young child depends entirely on the adult in charge knowing what to do in the first seconds, long before an ambulance arrives. Training in pediatric first aid and CPR gives you the confidence to act well under pressure and offers every family the certainty that their child is in prepared hands. A certification built on recognised standards puts you ahead of what the rules require today and turns care into a genuine guarantee.
