In Venezuela, no strict legal duty to train every staff member in first aid has been found for initial education (the maternal level or Simoncito). The Simoncito framework refers to risk prevention and protecting the child's integrity, but no published regulation imposes individual first-aid certification. Even without a binding mandate, trained staff remain the expected standard for caring for the youngest children.
Anaphylaxie et administration de médicaments
Venezuela has no specific anaphylaxis or adrenaline framework for early education, and adrenaline is available only as a prescription ampoule, with no auto-injectors marketed in the country. With no rule to govern it, a child's protection depends on how prepared the staff are. Best practice is to quickly recognise a severe allergic reaction, hold the family's written authorization for any of the child's medication and store it safely and clearly labelled.
In an emergency, a young child depends entirely on the adult in charge knowing what to do in the first seconds, long before an ambulance arrives. Training in pediatric first aid and CPR gives you the confidence to act well under pressure and offers every family the certainty that their child is in prepared hands. A certification built on recognised standards puts you ahead of what the rules require today and turns care into a genuine guarantee.
